a failed Indian marriage
Being an Indian at heart I know,
Marriages are an early heaven's show.
It happens once in your life's flow,
And makes your whole world glow.
Is this the real marriage which I know,
Or is it just a worldly show?
You meet a person once in your life,
And dedicate yourself as an eternal bona fide?
How is it possible to give your heart and soul,
To that one person draped in matrimonial vows?
On and on the desolation grows,
A cacophony of thespian milieu to the core.
An ingenue to your heart becomes an aortic shrieking soprano more and more,
More and more the life's water flows,
A marriage is a river now I know,
Never able to touch the same water's flow.
Its up to us to accept the new as a friend or a foe.
If you love the river you'll kiss the old cup and show,
Your approval to it as a pristine halo.
The worst you can do is to abhor,
The new water and the shore.
And still fill the cup up to the brim,
Never letting it quench and be your heart's hymn.
It's better to leave the river than to know,
Your heart ails and yearns for a new dope.
Out of the river you get wings of serenity,
And returning to the river at nights,heart's heavy.
On and on the doping reaps and is being sown,
And still comes a kid with a schizophrenic coax.
He watches his parents and prays his life,
Not to devastate again anyone else's life.
He asks god for strength and forgiveness, a pugnacious astute,
For his parents to part ways with a chute.
It pains his heart to see them fight and makes him feel like a compunction's knight.
He loves them a lot and shows them he cares,
But maybe it's time to free them and give their share.
Of peace,happiness,independence and delight.
Growing and breeding, sucking the blood,this parasite.
Are marriages really a heavenly sight?
I saw this one ruining three lives
I hope this may not be your life's kite.
Up and up it floats and flies in the air,
In an attempt to cut the other kite,
Itself was lost,deserted, out of sight.
And caused pain to the one left behind,
Who was thinking its departure was a mere absence from site.
